Ripe Bunches

Ripe bunches with yellowish and reddish outer layer and its mesocarp are yellow coloured. This bunch has at least ten (10) loose sockets and more than fifty percent (50%) fruits were still attached to the bunch during inspection. Fruit bunches and loose fruits should be sent to the mill within 24 hours after harvest.

Unripe Bunches

Unripe

Unripe Bunch is black or purple-black and fruit mesocarp outer layer of yellowish. These bunches have no fresh fruit socket during inspection at the refinery. Fruit socket on unripe bunch is not caused by the usual process of maturity.


 Empty Bunches

Empty Fruit Bunch is a bunch which is more than ninety percent (90%) fruits detached from the bunch during the inspection at the factory.


Long Stalk

Long Stalk Bunch are bunches with stalks more than 5cm measured from lowest level of the bunch stalk.

Dirty bunch are bunches that more than half of its surface is muddy, sandy, and mixed with stones or other impurities.


Poorly Pollinated Bunches

Poorly Pollinated Bunches is a bunch of fruits that is not normal in size or density or cluster and has more than fifty percent (50%) of ‘parthenocarpic’.


Damaged Bunches

Damaged Fruit Bunches is more than thirty percent (30%) share of the fruit was damaged by animal pests, especially rats.


Small Bunches

Small Bunch is a bunch of small fruits and weighs less than 2.3 kgs (5 lb)


Under Ripe Bunches

Under Ripe Bunch is orange in colour and reddish or reddish-purple fruit mesocarp yellowish orange coloured outer layer. These bunches have less than ten (10) loose sockets during inspection at the refinery. Fruit bunches and loose fruits should be sent to the mill within 24 hours after harvest.


Over Ripe Bunches

Over Ripe Bunch are bunches of fresh fruit with dark red and more than fifty (50%) fruits detached, but at least ten percent (10%) still attached to the fresh fruit bunches during the inspection at the factory. Fruit bunches and loose fruits should be sent to the mill within 24 hours after harvest.
